The Magma Hot end is an all metal hot end, since there is no PTFE or plastic to be found anywhere in the hot end it is safe up to 400C which is much higher temperature then most hot ends with PTFE linears that max out at about 245C tops.


 This means the MetalMagma hot end can print Nylon, Polycarbonate, ABS, LayWood, PVA, HDPE and more to come in the future. This is truly a future proof nozzle and will last you a long time with its rugged CNC machined construction. (Does not print PLA)

    The Magma Hot End is an all metal hot end since there is no PTFE or plastic to be found anywhere in the hot end it is safe up to 400C which is much higher temperature then most hot ends with PTFE linears that max out at about 245C tops.

     This means the MetalMagma hot end can print Nylon, Polycarbonate, ABS, LayWood, PVA, HDPE and more to come in the future. This is truly a future proof nozzle and will last you a long time with its rugged CNC machined construction. (Does not print PLA)

     Each of these MetalMagma hot ends comes with a 0.4mm nozzle by default

     The heater blocks on these hot ends are designed with a grub screw to hold the resistor or heater cartridge in place so they are future proof for when you want to make a move from resistor-based hot ends to heater cartridge or anything else with a 6mm diameter. There is also a nicely bored hole all the way through the heater block so you can use a standard thermistor.  An axial thermistor with the leads coming one out of each side also gives a nice and clean look.

     These hot ends are machined out of 3 types of metal, the nozzles are made from brass, the heater block and the upper barrel with the groove mount in it are made from high grade polished aluminum and the secret sauce of the heat blocker inner core is made from high grade 316 stainless steel with a highly polished interior for the filament to have a smooth slippery runway of travel all the way from the entry point to the hot end up top until it meets the nozzle and is extruded out the tip.

     The stainless heater core is a M6 threaded tube that basically threads all the way to the top of the upper mounting barrel internally as can be seen in the cutaway photos below and also screws into the heater block where it contacts the nozzle so the filament enters the top of the hot end and immediately goes into the polished stainless steel passageway to the heater block where it hits a very short heat zone and then is extruded out of the nozzle size of your choice to form the filament extrusion that is deposited layer by layer to form your model.

    These hot ends are only 2mm longer then the j-head MKV-B at 54mm long tip to tip and weigh in at a svelte 17grams only! Get yours while they're hot! Pun intended... ;)
